Three-Axis Hydraulic Boom
Most municipal waste sits exactly where machines can't reach — corners, kerbs, narrow lanes, behind parked vehicles. The three-axis hydraulic boom extends, rotates, and lifts to position the suction hose precisely, without the vehicle moving or the operator touching waste.
How the Three-Axis 270° Hydraulic Boom Works
The boom does one fundamental job: it carries the hose so the operator doesn't have to. Every axis of movement exists to let the operator place the suction head exactly where the waste is — without moving the vehicle, without bending, and without touching anything.
Lift
The boom raises and lowers vertically. Parked vehicles, parapet walls, raised kerbs — the boom goes up and over, to reach waste that usually gets left behind.
Extend
The telescoping arm reaches outward, up to 6 metres from the vehicle. Debris sitting far from the road line, in a drain, or behind a roadside obstacle — the arm reaches it without repositioning the truck.
Rotate
The boom swings through a 270° horizontal arc. From left kerb to right kerb, from straight ahead to almost directly behind — one vehicle position covers more ground.
Hold
As the boom positions the hose, it carries the full weight. This is why the hose can be PU-reinforced, heavy-duty, and large-diameter. The weight that would exhaust an operator in minutes is carried by the boom all day.
Pick Up
The operator guides the hose with the ergonomic handle to the waste. Suction does the rest. No manual contact, no bending, no exposure — waste travels directly from the ground into the hopper.
Move On
The boom retracts. The vehicle moves to the next section. No worker walking alongside, no manual loading.
Why This Matters for Litter Pickup
Ten years of manufacturing. Still on the road, every shift. Proven OEM machines built for India's most demanding campus environments.
Direct Transfer
Older workflows often unload collected waste onto the ground before it reaches a tipper. The high-dump hopper transfers waste directly into the secondary vehicle, removing the extra step of reloading the same garbage.
Contactless Unloading
If workers still have to lift waste after machine collection, the process is only half-mechanized. The hydraulic high dump lets Jatayu machines unload without operators touching or carrying mixed waste by hand.
Hose Longevity
What destroys a hose prematurely is constant dragging against roads, kerbs, and rough ground. Because the boom keeps the hose elevated and supported, this major source of wear is reduced, extending hose life.
Uninterrupted Operation
A machine that has to return to the dumping yard every time it fills loses cleaning time in travel. Jatayu can unload into a carry-on vehicle and continue the route, keeping the cleaning operation moving.
Wide Coverage
The 270° arc allows the operator to cover a much wider zone from one vehicle position. This means fewer vehicle movements, smoother cleaning, and more ground covered per shift.
Clears Obstacles
Parked vehicles, parapet walls, dividers, and raised edges often block direct hose access. The boom works at height, lifting the hose over obstacles and bringing the nozzle closer to the waste.
