Hydraulic High-Dump Hopper
Garbage collection should not become manual again at the unloading stage. Jatayu's hydraulic high dump hopper stores collected waste and transfers it directly into a tipper, without floor dumping, hand loading, or route interruption.
How the Hydraulic High-Dump Hopper Works
The hydraulic high dump hopper completes the garbage suction cycle. Waste moves from the suction hose into the hopper, stays contained inside the machine, and is tipped directly into a secondary collection vehicle when full.
Collect
As the suction system picks up waste, it transfers directly into the hopper. Wet and dry mixed municipal waste — everything is received continuously as the machine works.
Fill
The hopper builds up across the shift. At 1.5 m³ on the Jatayu Super and 3 m³ on the Jatayu Super XL, there is enough capacity to cover a substantial route before offloading is needed.
Store
The waste stays contained inside the hopper until unloading. It is not exposed in open piles or loose transfer points, avoiding spillage, odour exposure, and secondary contamination around the route.
Position
Once the hopper is ready to unload, Jatayu machines position near a tipper, garbage truck, or secondary collection vehicle. The machine does not need to return to the dump yard.
Lift
The hopper lifts hydraulically to dump height — 6 feet on the Jatayu Super, 6.5 feet on the Super XL. This is engineered for an LCV-mounted machine, where a filled hopper has to lift safely without compromising vehicle balance.
Tip & Return
The hopper tips waste directly into the secondary vehicle, then lowers back into working position. No floor dumping, no hand loading, and no long route break before the next collection point.
Why This Matters for Truly Contactless Unloading
Machine collection loses its value if someone still handles the waste at the other end. The high-dump hopper keeps the entire process mechanized.
Direct Transfer
Machines usually unload collected waste onto the ground before it reaches a tipper. Jatayu's high dump hopper transfers waste directly into the secondary vehicle, removing the step of reloading the same garbage again.
Contactless Unloading
Machine collection loses its value if workers still handle the waste at unloading. The hydraulic high dump keeps the process mechanized, so operators do not lift, carry, or reload garbage by hand.
Cleaner Transfer
Open piles and bag handling can create spillage, odour, and residue at the unloading point. Direct hopper-to-vehicle tipping keeps the transfer cleaner, faster, and more controlled.
Route Continuity
Without high dump unloading, the machine may have to leave the route just to empty its hopper. Direct transfer into a carry-on vehicle allows Jatayu machines to unload and proceed to the next cleaning point.
Engineered Lift
Lifting a filled hopper to tipper height on a light commercial vehicle is a structural challenge. Jatayu machines' system is engineered around load, lift height, balance, and safe unloading on a compact vehicle platform.
